ABN AMRO Circular E-talks @ DDW
Over the course of five days, designers, organizations and companies will question themselves and one another to find out how this ambition provokes new questions. In a lively series of ABN AMRO ‘E-talks’ on circularity, new speakers will explore the research and design questions as we approach 2020 and beyond.

Exploring circular housing/apartment
Tuesday october 23th
11:00 – 17:00
What does it mean to live pleasantly and affordably in a circular manner? Using the example of apartments accessed from a shared staircase, we will investigate the issues raised by the circular design of private housing. What can we learn from circular office buildings? What should we keep in mind when building or renovating such apartments? And what should we expect from residents when it comes to behaviour? During the afternoon we will present new building materials.

The three sessions on Tuesday can be attended individually or together.

Wednesday october 24th
11:00hrs – 13:30hrs
As an entrepreneurial bank, ABN AMRO wants to be an action leader in the transition to the circular economy. We support companies that want to make the step towards a circular business model, with our knowledge, network and experience with revenue models. We will make the transition to circular revenue models concrete in our ambition to finance at least 100 one-billion-euro deals in 2020, saving together at least one million tons of CO2 emissions. Last summer we drew up the circular financing guidelines. A basis on which financing options can be further developed for a sustainable and circular economy.
Together with designers, city makers and co-action leaders like you we will to further explore the impact of circular revenue models on the central issue: How do we realize 2020 circular houses in the year 2020? Work with us on the vision of circular living and come into action during the workshop: ‘Implementing Circular Business Models’.
